Wildfires in Greece, Albanian government offers 100 thousand euros in aids

The Albanian government has decided to allocate 100 thousand euros for Greece, to help with the relief efforts following the latest fires which claimed many lives in the neighboring country.

“Albania extends its solidarity to Greece in these tragic hours for those who lost their loved ones and those who are facing the terrible consequences of a terrible fire! The Albanian government just approved a donation as a sign of solidarity with our brothers and sisters”, PM Edi Rama said.

“The 100 thousand euro that the Albanian government is offering for Greece is a modest amount to help with the relief efforts following the wildfires that engulfed Athens and the surrounding areas. Our thoughts and prayers go to our neighbours who are doing everything they can to cope with this difficult situation”, said the Albanian minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Ditmir Bushati. /ibna/
