While students’ protests continued in Albania today for the eighth day in a row, the country’s Prime Minister, Edi Rama has considered this as another wasted day.
“Another day wasted irrationally”, the Prime Minister said today, after calling for students to engage in dialogue and their persistence to refuse dialogue and only accept the fulfillment of a list of demands that they’ve addressed to the government. Amongst others, students have requested the scrapping of tuition fees and a number of other things which mainly relate to tuition costs.
In the meantime, students continue to remain in front of the prime minister’s office and the Ministry of Education to protest against what they consider to be as miserable conditions of the education system in the country. /ibna/
