FYROM: Former Interior minister sentenced to 6 years in prison

Former Interior minister, Gordana Jankulovska was given today a six year prison sentence  following a corruption case investigated by Special Prosecution.

During the time she served as Interior minister, Jankulovska had ordered the purchase of a Mercedez Benz amounting to 600 thousand euros. Former PM Nikola Gruevski is also involved in this case. For his involvement, the former head of the government was given a two year prison sentence.

Meanwhile, Jankulovska could not attend this court session, as she had to be present in another trial where she’s accused of abuse and involvement in illicit actions during the time she served as minister. /ibna/
