Government of Albania does not fully meet the minimum standards for the elimination of trafficking; however, it is making significant efforts to do so.
This was stated by the latest report of the US State Department on the traffic in persons. The Albanian Interior minister has reacted today by saying that the fight against this type of traffic cannot be realized by a single government or a single country without national and regional cooperation.
Xhafaj added that the fight against trafficking is one of the main priorities of the Albanian government and that there’s still a lot to do for this.
“We all have a responsibility to take the necessary steps against this phenomenon and as a government, we still have a lot to do”, Xhafaj said. /ibna/
